German Regimental Beer Steins.
The Imperial German Armed Forces had six divisions: Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, Technician Troops, Colonial Guard, and Supply Train, and then the navy. Regimental Beer Steins were produced to be purchased as a commemerative for the completion of a soldiers term of active duty. Regimental Beer Steins usually depicted training or combat scenes and the pewter work was usually quite elaborate. Regimental Beer Steins were popular from 1840-1917.
