Gambrinus - King of Beer

This stoneware, white glazed stein features the famous Gambrinus in kingly garb leaning against a cask of beer toasting with a stein of frothy beer. In the background there are wheat stock and hopps vines. A gold-leaf band accents the base of the stein and a poem about Gambrinus is to the left of the design. A Gambrinus pewter figurine serves as the thumblift and a ornamental pewter lid completes the piece. Direct from Germany this stein holds 3/4 liter and is 10 1/2" tall.
